Areswaram (land of six gods)
The temple situates at the western valley of Kodassery hills. Ladies are permitted to enter this temple
this temple. So Areswaram is known as "mini Sabari mala" and "Women's Sabari mala". This temple is at Kodakara
vellikulangara route. (only walkable distance from the road to the hill top). Areswaram
is only 4 km away from kodakara town.(it is in mattathur panchayath)
Punarjany Noozhal (A narrow passage to rebirth) is famous ritual in this temple. Devotees
enters the narrow cave near the temple chanting "sarana manthras" about Lord Ayyappa and
after travelling through the narrow path exits. It is believed that after this all the
sins are alleviated and the mind and soul gets a rejuvenation

Kurisumudy pilgrim centre.
Kurisumudy situates at the top of kanakamala. All churches of irinjalakuda Diocese organises
pilgrimage journeys to the hill top during march april months.This pilgrim centre resembles
Malayattur in Ernakulam district.
Kunnuthrikkavu (Hill of three temples)
The green hill and the three temples of Siva,Vishnu and Subrahmanya attracts everybody. Kunnuthrikkavu is 1 km north from kodakara. The shashti festival of Sri. Subrahmanya temple is famous in kerala. It is the oldest shashti festival of kerala. The hill and the temple of Subrahmanya resembles Pazhani in Tamil nadu.

St. antony's church perambra.
It is the oldest church in kodakara. It was established as a chapel in the name of Saint
Antony in the year of 1830. The church was established in the year 1832 after getting
approval from Kochi Maharaja and Methran of Varapuzha.
Puthukkavu Bhagavathy temple.
It is believed that Puthukkavu Bhagavathy is the sister of St. Antony. Puthukkavu
is 1 km away from perambra. This temple is faqmous for thalappoly festival.
SREEKRISHNA ASHRAM PARAMESWARAM.
It is situated at the western valley of Kodassery hills. Swami Parameswarananda saraswathy
is the head of this ashram.

Poonilar kavu is famous for karthika festival. It is considered as the oldest festival
